Today we took a trip to see the rock art in Kondoa. While rock art isn't usually my thing, this being Africa it turned into a bit of an adventure. It took us 2 hours and a speeding ticket to reach Kondoa and when we got to the town we had to drive about a kilometer on a (very) rough dirt track.

The rock art itself was exactly what I expected, childlike depictions of people and elephants that are considered great purely because they are old. The surrounding landscape however was spectacular.

After a lunch of bananas and a rather strange conversation with a man who was either drunk, high or simply mad we headed back to Dodoma, picking up random walkers along the way and depositing them at the various villages en route.
